If your audio did not record correctly, and you're not seeing a transcript, please follow the steps below to troubleshoot:

  1. When you open up the Rewind timeline to the time of the meeting, do you see the audio icon, on the left side of the Rewind date / time? If not, it's possible that the audio did not record.

  2. Did you manually turn on Audio Capture? We do have a silence detection feature which will only happen if Audio Capture is manually turned on. If we don't hear any audible words in 30s, the audio will stop capturing, and start again once it does.

  3. If you've changed the setting so that audio records automatically, this only applies to the following meeting tools: Zoom, Google Meet, and Slack Huddle meetings hosted through the native app and the following browsers: Chrome, Safari, Arc, Brave. Slack Huddles need to be opened up in a mini window.

For anything else, you will need to manually toggle on Audio Capture.

  4. Are you switching desktops / spaces / tabs during the meeting? Take a look at our meeting detection help article here and change your meeting settings accordingly.

  5. If none of the above worked, please email us at [email protected] and provide the following context:

    1. What meeting + browser do you use?

    2. Please send a picture of your meeting settings? Click on the Rewind icon in the menu bar (upper right hand corner of your Mac) > Settings > Meetings
