If you encounter any issues related to CPU, battery, or performance in general, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Ensure that your Mac is updated to Ventura or Sonoma

    1. To do this, head over to the Apple Menu on your computer, select 'System Preferences', then click 'Software Update'. Follow the prompts to download and install the update.

  2. Ensure you are on the latest version of Rewind

    1. The app checks every hour for a new update automatically but when you can, click on the Rewind logo in the menu bar and select “Check for updates” or "Update to v1...." to perform a manual update.

  3. Activate Analytics & New Features

    1. Navigate to the Rewind icon in the menu bar (located in the upper right-hand corner of your Mac) > Settings > Analytics > Check both Analytics & New Features.

  4. Try turning off the meeting detection

    1. Consider disabling the meeting detection feature. Adjust the meeting setting "When a Meeting is Detected" = "Don't Automatically Record" and see if this adjustment improves performance.

  5. Share a sample the next time you encounter the issue

    1. After enabling these settings, if you are still running into issue, sharing a sample to [email protected] will help us to analyze what is happening at the exact time of the issue.
