Deep linking means being able to open an app you previously had open and putting that app into the same prior context. For example "Open in Chrome" would open Chrome to the webpage you previously had open. Change your macOS primary language to English to enable deep linking.

Rewind currently supports deep linking into:

  • Chrome

  • Safari

  • Arc

  • Brave

  • Linear

  • Slack

  • Figma

  • Notion

From your search results:

Click on the 'Open in [app]' overlay at the bottom of each thumbnail.

From the timeline:

Click '[app icon] Open' on the right side of your timeline (next to the zoom in/out button).
