Unfortunately there are certain circumstances where the behavior of these features are likely not what you expect. The situations are:

  1. Applicable to private browsing: Excluding private browsing windows is only supported when the system language is set to English and for the following browsers: Chrome, Safari, Arc, Firefox, Brave.

  2. Applicable to excluding apps & private browsing: When using features like macOS Mission Control (formerly known as Dashboard, Exposé, and Spaces) all apps visible (including excluded apps) may show up in the recording.

  3. Applicable to excluding apps only: When using built-in extensions to Chrome, like 1Password. Even if you select 1Password as an app to be excluded, Rewind will still record it if it shows up as a Chrome extension in the browser.

  4. Applicable to videos being played in picture-in-picture mode: When playing videos from an incognito browser in picture-in-picture mode, Rewind will still record the video since it is no longer part of the incognito browser.
